| We had a great trip through Scandinavia, shooting for "The World of Design" series. Following are some candids from our travels through Sweden and Finland. |

| One of the most talented Architectural firms in Sweden is Claesson Koivisto and Rune. We spent the day with them in one of their most recent projects for a client in Stockholm. Here to the left, Eero Koivisto takes a contemplative break from all the commotion of our camera crew. To the right, is his partner Marten Claesson.

While in Stockholm don't miss a visit to Asplund(see Joe's Picks "Places to Shop"), a terrific shop for stylish furniture and accessories for the home! We fell in love with several of Asplund's designers.

| Such as Thomas Sandell. We particularly liked his series of connecting tables. | |
|
Pictured here are two other very talented designers, Beban Nord and Ann Morsing. Their company "Box Designs" produces wonderful furniture pieces as well as small accessories. |

Designer Bjorn Dahlstrom (seated on bench) is pictured here with his producer Christian Springfieldt (seated on floor). Bjorn's circle bench is truly an innovative piece that can take on a variety a configurations. From a meandering scroll, to a full form circle. This set of modular units can even be used by themselves as occasional benches. |

We took a day trip outside of Stockholm to visit with designer Ann Millang in her charming Swedish country cottage pictured here. To learn more about Ann and her furniture company "Swedish Blonde", check out My Kind of Style |

While in Helsinki we visited with Finnish designer Ristomatti Ratia, the son of the founder of Marimekko; a Finnish design shop known for their bold fabrics, playful fashions and great accessories for the home. |

| One of the most inspiring things about Risto's apartment is his talent for "placement". He has a unique ability of creating small vignettes that add a great personal touch to his environment. The jars featured are of his own design. | |

Whenever traveling through a foreign country, one of our most favorite visits are to the Open-Air Museums. We had a fascinating trip to Seurasaari, a museum that has over 80 old Finnish houses displayed. Set in natural settings, the museum succeeds in recreating the spirit of 18th century Finland.
