The French Riviera! Almost anyplace you go in this ancient region you will see red tile roofs, balconies overlooking the beautiful turquoise Mediterranean and structures built from bedrock all with the color hues of amber, saffron and honey.


Chateau de la Messardiere in Saint-Tropez is a magnificent hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful vistas over looking the French countryside.


The afternoon light is not to be missed in the region of France. The sun and itís shadows bring out the warmth of the natural earth tones seen all over the south of France.


As you walk the grounds of the Chateau de la Messardiere your spirit will be filled with the scent of lavender so prevalent in the area.


The Hotel Imperial Garoupe, in Cap D'Antibes is a newly renovated hotel with lovely rooms and friendly atmosphere.


The chef at the Hotel Imperial Garoupe is young and highly accomplished. We visited with him as he prepared an appetizer for us to enjoy. The French have a way of cooking that I find unmatched!


The chef prepares an appetizer of baby vegetables by first lightly cooking in a mixture of oil and butter.


Here is the finished presentation. A healthy and tasty assemblage of colorful vegetables to be served as a first course.


Gerard Ferry, owner of the famous Los Angeles restaurant, L'Orangerie, is seen here in his amazing French Riviera kitchen in Grasse. This stove is a masterpiece on which Gerard creates inspiring meals.


This lovely summer salad is just one of the delicious delights prepared by Gerard Ferry. A combination of quickly steamed string beans, tomatoes of the vine, herbs and spices, and quartered hard boiled eggs makes for a perfect summer luncheon.


Gerard's Blue and White Collection is comprised of items given to he and his wife Virginne as gifts by visiting friends.


The blue and white theme is carried out on Gerard's outdoor table an ingenious design of tile covered table top for easy maintenance year round.


Parisian interior designer, Frederic Mechiche, has created a roof top terrace on top of his country home in Hyeres, France. This affords a view of the spectacular ancient village.
