Tucked away on a quiet street in Kyoto, the Hakusasonso Villa is an oasis of beautiful plants and flowering trees. Enchanting footpaths meander around traditional Japanese structures, transporting visitors to a magical place. This property served as daily inspiration for celebrated Japanese artist Hashimoto Kansetsu (1883-1945). What's so extraordinary about the property is that the artist built the garden entirely from nothing, all by himself! Great inspiration for any backyard gardener!
