Swedish Blonde:

I have always admired the simplicity and elegance of Swedish Gustavian design. Attributed to Sweden's King Gustav III, the Gustavian aesthetic has always appealed to me for its clean lines, soft color palette and great adaptable proportions. Never over-powering, or over-done, Gustavian furniture has a timeless appeal, bringing a very special charm to any interior.

Ann Milläng and her husband own and operate a company called "Swedish Blonde". The Swedish Blonde Collection is a fantastic line of both furniture and accessories inspired by the Gustavian era.

The collection is available throughout the United States, and through many mail order catalogues, such as Chambers (1-800-334-9790), Legacy (1-800-328-2711), Saks Fifth Avenue (1-800-345-3454), and Neiman Marcus (1-800-944-9888). Or to find the nearest source near you contact:

The Millängs have set the scene for a traditional mid-summer meal. The dining table and chairs, favorites of mine, are also part of The Swedish Blonde Collection.

The Milläng's 19th century cottage, set in rural Sweden, is the perfect backdrop, for their furniture line. To learn more about the collection and the Milläng Family, stay tuned to HGTV, where they will be featured in a segment on "Swedish Country Decorating" in "The Best of Scandinavian Design." Air date to be announced.
